Sacroiliac Injection

The sacroiliac joint is a very common source of low back pain. Just like any other joint in the body, it can undergo degenerative changes.

An IV started and the sacroiliac joint is identified under live x-ray. Local anesthetic and steroid is injected into the joint. The procedure is well tolerated and patients should see benefit within the first three days. Many patients require a series of injections to achieve complete relief.
